Audrey Julia Rose is a Portland-based writer whose work intertwines storytelling, emotion, and transformation. Formerly known as Julia Rose Roulhac, Audrey underwent a name change that marked a personal and creative rebirth — a testament to her journey of healing, identity, and rediscovery. Her evolution reflects the heart of her work: stories that speak to resilience, reinvention, and the quiet power of becoming.

Audrey began her career at Glitter Magazine, where she conducted the Spring 2023 cover interview with actor Spencer Macpherson. Her feature work and personal essays quickly gained recognition, most notably from Christine Quinn of Netflix’s Selling Sunset, who publicly celebrated Audrey’s writing for its authenticity and strength.

Today, Audrey works part-time alongside Kristin Van Buskirk, the founder and creative visionary behind Woonwinkel — a Portland-based design studio and boutique known for its bold color palettes, minimalist beauty, and belief that thoughtful design can transform how we feel. Kristin, a former Nike color designer, built Woonwinkel around the philosophy that color and intention shape emotion — an idea that deeply resonates with Audrey’s storytelling approach.

When she isn’t writing, Audrey can be found journaling in sunlit cafés, tending to her two beloved rabbits, or collecting inspiration from film, literature, and the quiet poetry of everyday life. She believes in words that heal, mornings that begin with hope, and the artistry of transformation — both on the page and within the soul.
